Duane Hansen Fernandez, Writer & Director

Duane Fernandez is a writer and director. Born from a Danish mother and Filipino father, Fernandez's ethnic background towed him from his birthplace in Los Angeles, California to numerous corners and countries of the world throughout the years. It was these years that taught him to use his art to reflect an influence from his many cultural environments.

Once dreaming of becoming an archaeologist, that passion never really went away, although it evolved. Fernandez found himself becoming his own archetype of an anthropologist -- seeking to understand how people live and interact with one another, but also how they make their lives meaningful. Why do people do what they do? What are their untold stories? Most importantly, how can we make the world a better place by telling them?

Fernandez has had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest leaders in the industry, from Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Disney, Marvel, Searchlight, A24, Focus Features, Universal Pictures, and Lionsgate, to Paramount, Sony Pictures, NBC, Fox, and FX.

Rebecca Parks Fernandez, Producer

Rebecca Parks Fernandez is a 10-year veteran of the entertainment industry and a citizen of the Muscogee Nation. Recognizing an industry-wide need for representation across all forms of content, Parks Fernandez co-founded VOKSEE Studios to tell creative, original stories. From a six-part Netflix docu-series and films like The Revenant, to legendary automaker Aston Martin, VOKSEE has an impressive roster of partners and projects under its belt due, in large part, to the immersive, non-traditional experience the studio provides. Fusing homegrown ingenuity with data-driven insights, VOKSEE bridges the gap between content and audience through rich and unique storytelling.

Prior to VOKSEE, Parks Fernandez was a consultant and Managing Editor for Amanda de Cadenet’s critically-acclaimed television show The Conversation, eventually serving as a Producer for de Cadenet’s next show, Undone with Amanda de Cadenet, a live, late night talk show on the E! Network. That fast-paced, live environment is where she learned how much she loved producing.

Her work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Time, The Hollywood Reporter, Newsweek, Vice, LA Times, Washington Post, Billboard, MSNBC, Slate, and more. Parks Fernandez has spoken about the power of representation and content at several conferences and events, including SXSW.

Tobin Oldach, Director of Photography

Tobin Oldach is a Los Angeles based cinematographer. Born in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Tobin spent his youth between the high desert and coastal Southern California. Both regions have influenced his passions and artistic sensibilities. Tobin was taken with the spontaneity and compelling nature of photography from the first roll of black and white film exposed from a hand-me-down Pentax camera. This ignited a spark and a new artistic challenge that laid the groundwork for his pursuit of storytelling through the documented image. With a degree from the The Moving Image Arts program at the College of Santa Fe, Tobin moved to Los Angeles and began working in the camera department. He has been fortunate enough to travel the world and be a part of various films, commercials and music videos such as HBO’s True Blood, Life of Pi, and A Wrinkle in Time. In 2015, he was chosen for an Emerging Cinematographer Award through The International Cinematographer’s Guild for his work on the short film Thirst, starring Melanie Griffith. Tobin’s work is inspired by a sense of naturalism and the pursuit of the human spirit in each story he brings to life.

Danielle Statuto, Editor

Danielle is an intuitive artist, weaving together her electrifying energy, laser-sharp focus, and unwavering motivation with her inherent gift for storytelling. She collaborates intuitively with producers, directors, and writers in a whirlwind of excitement (often speaking with her hands) as they watch their shots come to life with a reverberating impact and an exclamation point. Her goal is to leave her creative team thinking: “Wow, I shot that?! That looks great!”

With a strong foundation of technical knowledge and over two decades of experience cutting almost every genre, nothing has ever stood in Danielle’s way. This is the keystone of what makes her edits so particularly interesting and memorable, and why Showrunners think they just got a week’s worth of editing crammed into a couple of days when she’s done.

Danielle is the lime twist on your cocktail, the last phrases of Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” sung at the top of your lungs, and the trusted co-pilot you want in your editing chair. Hand over your dailies, because you are in for an experience.
